Rare opportunity to join the passionate team at ARKA! After 6 years B is sadly moving on, we wish her well in her entirely new work. This means we will have a part-time position to fill.

The Funeral Assistant role is the team member supporting all of our work in a practical way covering all sorts from collecting people who have died, preparing people and our space for viewings, keeping our cars and facilities clean and tidy, attending at funerals as pallbearer, to keeping our indoor and outdoor plants happy. It requires someone physically able and strong, and who can be part of our on-call rota covering collections and calls out of office hours. It is not a desk based role, so barely any need for computer use, and neither is it primarily a client-facing role aside from occasional covering of the front office speaking to people on the phone and who come by in person.

You need to be self-organising, creative and a joy to work with!
