The planning of every funeral should be started with a blank piece of paper. We believe that everyone is different and therefore each arrangement should be put together carefully and thoughtfully. At Arka we don’t have standard funeral arrangements for people to be ‘slotted’ into, we allow people time and space for the plans to grow so that the end result truly represents the person they have lost.

One thing to remember is that you don’t need to have a funeral! Obviously something needs to happen with the body of the deceased but we can arrange a private cremation or burial and a ceremony or memorial can happen at another time – or not at all. It’s very individual. Often these days people opt for what is known as a ‘direct cremation’ where you can come and see the person at our premises if you want and then they will be cremated separately, see our Direct Cremation page.
